Noir restaurant in Montreal was a very cool experience. You eat IN THE DARK!
The waiters have a vision impairment so they are perfect for the job!
You can choose the food before BUT this defeats the purpose. I wanted to experience what a blind person feels!
Having no idea what you will eat. I wanted to be the whole menu a surprise.
Very bold of me as I dislike peas, pineapple, avocado, sweetcorn…I went for it anyway ?
I was in a tour guided trip so a girl said “I’m jealous I want at least one surprise”!
Me: Oh there are breadrolls!
Me: Here, have *tapping table blindly*
It was weird cutting a bread roll and spreading butter, I felt I might spread butter in my hand but I didn’t ?
I was given a cocktail.
Girl: how is it?
Me: Nice I think it has some apple.
A girl started eating her starter.
Us: How is it?
Girl: Very difficult.
Me: Well in India they eat with their hands and no one is watching/judging here ?
She went quiet.
Us: How is it?
Girl: I’ve gone full Indian ?
Waiter where’s my starter? I ordered 2 plates but..?
Girl: Didn’t you get one with apples?
Me: No that was the cocktail!
I was given something fishy and nice. Some weird round soft thing.
(A friend thought it might have been fish eye ?) I was clueless!
Scampi with Israeli couscous ?? I went full Indian myself ?
Main was duck with some parsnip/potato ?
I chased the food around the plate with my hand again ?
For the dessert I was lost, it seemed creme brulee or soft lemon pudding. It was banana panacotta! ?
I heard of this type of restaurant back home too but I never explored it.
Barbie took her boyfriend to London’s, he thought he was going to be fed and was very uncomfortable at first ?
The waiter said “hey stop touching my bum” to him as a laugh ? but I don’t like the London one, they seem to push cocodrile meat etc on you. I want to be clueless ?
The restaurants are probably a mess afterwards ?
